The letter must contain the name of the Medical Attendant. A medical attendant visa may be granted to up to two attendants travelling with the e-Medical visa holder to India for medical treatment. Two companions of the patient holding the Indian Medical e-Visa are typically granted the Indian Medical Attendant e-Visa. The attendant will travel with the patient to India because the majority of the time, the e-Visa holder uses it for medical treatment there.
Family members of the applicant entering the country on an e-visa will also receive an e-Visa. However, the e-visas are occasionally granted to the applicant's acquaintances, family members, and nurses. The e-visa is only good for 60 days after it is issued. This e-visa cannot be renewed or converted to another form of e-visa. An e-visa application form must be filled out by foreign candidates travelling to India on this e-visa.
The e-Medical Attendant visa is valid for 60 days from the initial day of arrival in India. An e-medical attendant visa may be applied thrice in a calendar year.
Please be aware that this visa can only be used to travel with someone receiving medical treatment in India and possessing an e-Medical visa.
